Rainbow Sherbert Pattern Tips

If you're reading this, hopefully you have downloaded my new pattern, Rainbow Sherbert! Below I have just a few little tips to help you get through the pattern easily.

Tip #1: A scant 1/4" is VERY important on this pattern. Be sure to sew with a scant 1/4" for each seam, including the strip piecing. For some reason the size of the segments won't match up if you sew with a regular 1/4".

Tip #2: Once you have all the strips cut, match every color strip with a background strip and sew them together. Press them all towards the darker fabric. Then organize by color and cut your strip sets into the indicated sizes.

Tip #3: When beginning block assembly, start from the center block out. ALWAYS check the orientation of your block before sewing the next piece on. Trust me, the seam ripper will be your best friend if you don't.

Tip #4: HAVE FUN! And don't forget to post your photos making sure to tag me @danamillerfiberarts! I can't wait to see your creations.
